New Businesses in Frankfort, Mokena!

There are a bunch of new businesses opening up in Frankfort and Mokena.  I thought I would share!  Great news!!

  • Mama Rosetta’s Gelateria and Espresso Bar is scheduled to finally open by Sept. 1, just in time for Frankfort Fall Festival. The sweet shop, which is at 3 Oak St., next to Breidert Green, will serve a variety of gelato, Italian pastires and espresso. Plans for Mama Rosetta’s opening have been ongoing since 2010.
  • Prairie Godmothers, an eco-friendly garden consulting group which offers workshops at Evilena’s Red Dresser in Frankfort, has a special time-saving offer for bulb ordering according to color preferences and yard conditions. Go to and use the password “shovel.” Make a list of the bulbs you like through My Favorites. Then e-mail the list to for pricing and availability. Or call Prairie Godmothers at 708-205-5126 for assistance.
  • Sugarless World Bakery, Mokena’s newest business as of Aug. 27, the date planned for its grand opening, according to Marie Martinez.  You can find them on Facebook!
  • White Street Interiors has only been open since May 15, but it has drawn a steady stream of business thanks to drive-by traffic on Old Frankfort Way, said co-owner Becky Groskreutz.
