New Lenox – Cruise the Creek on 10/2

It may be a bit chillier outside than it was a month ago, but that doesn’t mean you should put away your bikes quite yet. Why? Well, because New Lenox’s Cruise the Creek Bike Ride and Fest is this weekend! The ride will take place on a two-loop trail through scenic woodlands, wetlands and prairie. You even get to choose between a six mile loop or a 10 mile loop. Or, if you’re extra energized, you’re invited to take part in both! Relax after with the live entertainment, food vendors and more. Mokena Chamber of Commerce’s Food and Wine Festival – 10/1

If you enjoy a good glass of wine after a long work week, then don’t miss out on the Mokena Chamber of Commerce’s Food and Wine Festival! Santa’s Village AZoosment Park – Halloween fun

It was about a month before Halloween when all through the park kids and creatures were stirring, playing ’til dark. Rides they enjoyed and games they all played while having lots of fun at Santa’s Village AZoosment Park’s Harvest Festival all day! Frankfort Jaycee’s Annual Fright Fest!!

We’ll bet that with Halloween just around the corner, your kids are looking for a good scare. Well tell them to get ready to scream in complete fright and delight, because the Frankfort Area Jaycees’ Annual Fright Fest haunted house is just about ready to open and scare! Madeline and the Bad Hat , an original musical based upon the much-loved book, captures the blithe yet touching spirit of Ludwig Bemelmans’s Madeline  series. It

traces the adventures of a young Parisian girl who – despite starting off on the wrong foot with a mischievous new neighbor – eventually learns that first impressions aren’t everything.
