September 11th Rememberance Events

Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing on that fateful day, September 11, 2001. A great tragedy occurred that day in our country, and even though you may not have been personally affected, you can still pay your respects. Frankfort, Homer Glen, Lockport, New Lenox, Orland Park and Tinley Park are all hosting 9/11 remembrance events.
Why: It’s important to not forget.
Where: Frankfort: Lincoln-Way East High School, 201 Colorado Ave., Frankfort.  //  Homer Glen: Across the street from the Purple Onion, 13150 S. 143rd St., Homer Glen.  //  Lockport: Lockport Township High School’s East Auditorium, 1333 E. Seventh St., Lockport.  //  New Lenox: New Lenox Village Commons, 1 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox.  //  Orland Park: Veterans Memorial, 14700 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park.  //  Tinley Park: Oak Park Avenue Train Station, 6700 South St., Tinley Park.
When: Frankfort: 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.  //  Home Glen: Run is at 8 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10. Ceremony is at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10.  //  Lockport: 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.  //  New Lenox: 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.  //  Orland Park: 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.  //  Tinley Park: 8:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.
