Lincoln Park Zoo Lights

Animals and plenty of sparkling lights, live ice carving demonstrations, holiday crafts and more during ZooLights! If you want your kids to have a little more fun, be sure to sign them up for the Friday Night Lights: North Pole Party too! Basically, before viewing the ZooLights, your kids will learn all about how animals survive in the cold weather.
Where: Lincoln Park Zoo, 2200 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago.

Halloween Fun at Navy Pier

Your little ones are invited to do the mash! To be more specific, they’re invited to Chicago Children’s Halloweeum for the Monster Mash Dance Party! But that’s not the only thing that will be happening at the Chicago Children’s Museum this weekend. Kids can create their own costumes, decorate mini pumpkins and explore the spooky backyard garden too! Click here for more information.

When I lived in the city, used to be one of my FAVORITE fests.  Check it out!


What: Hear that grumble in your stomach? It’s your stomach telling you to go to Ribfest Chicago this weekend! Nearly 50,000 pounds of ribs will be cooked to perfection, so don’t feel bad about filling up that plate for seconds. There will also be activities for your youngsters, musical performances, the RibMania rib eating contest and more. So eat up, and have fun! Just be sure to pack a couple of extra Wet Naps.
