Local Ice Rinks

It’s time to go ice skating at Orland Park’s Winter Wonderland Ice Rink! If you don’t own a pair of skates you can rent your skates before you hit the ice.

Frankfort Square Park District also has two ice rinks that will be open to the public weather permitting. Keep an eye out for the Frankfort’s ice rink located in Main Park to open again this year too!

Polar Express at Hickory Creek Metra Train Station

You better not shout! You better not cry! You better not pout, and I’ll tell you why! Santa Claus is coming to town, and you’re going to go pick him up! Hop aboard the Polar Express at Hickory Creek Metra Train Station in Mokena because you’re invited to go on a trip to the North Pole! On this voyage you’ll get to enjoy a story time and some cookies. Once you arrive to your destination, you’ll find Santa and bring him back to Mokena for pictures and fun. Madeline and the Bad Hat , an original musical based upon the much-loved book, captures the blithe yet touching spirit of Ludwig Bemelmans’s Madeline  series. It

traces the adventures of a young Parisian girl who – despite starting off on the wrong foot with a mischievous new neighbor – eventually learns that first impressions aren’t everything.
